Lieutenant Dan Noordeloos was hired as a police officer trainee in 2000 and after graduating from the 203rd Broward County Police Academy, served 8 years on patrol. In 2008, he was selected as a detective for the Special Enforcement Team and in 2012, was chosen to be a detective in the Criminal Investigations Section. Promoted to sergeant in 2014, he was assigned to patrol for 2 years and in 2016 was moved to supervise the Special Enforcement Team. In 2018, he was promoted to lieutenant and completed 2 years of patrol. In 2021, he was transferred to command the Criminal Investigations Section. In January, 2022, he transferred to Patrol Team 3 to lead that team. Then, in October of that same year he went over to the Support Services Division. He was a member of the SWAT team as an operator and team leader from 2007 – 2018. Lieutenant Noordeloos graduated from the 42nd Florida Leadership Academy and Southern Police Institute’s 86th Command Officer Development Course. He has an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Broward College and Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice Management from Union Institute and University.
