George S. Gerber Memorial Park

This park was named after former City Commissioner George S. Gerber.  His wife Commissioner Marilyn Gerber, succeeded him after he passed away serving the community for 17 years before retiring in 2013. Gerber has athletic fields for permitting, basketball courts, jogging/walking paths, picnic amenities, playground, restrooms and a sand volleyball court.

Events and Activities

Recreational Cheer Program

  • Cheerleading for ages 6 to 17 (Must turn 6 by September 1, 2024; cannot turn 17 before October 1, 2023)
    • Uniforms included
    • 10 regular season games plus playoffs and championship
  • Age divisions:
    • 7U division – ages 6 to 7
    • 9U division – ages 8 to 9
    • 11U division – ages 10 to 11
    • Middle & high school division – ages 12 to 17
  • Practices start the week of July 16th; games start August 18th; championship scheduled for October
  • Practice days, times, and locations to be determined by coaches, will be communicated after teams are formed, and are subject to change based on weather and availability
    • Game days per division (Subject to change based on weather and availability):
        • 7U division – Wednesdays and Fridays
        • 9U division – Tuesdays and Saturdays
        • 11U division – Wednesdays and Saturdays
        • Middle school and high school division – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
          • Games rescheduled due to weather will be determined by availability
            • Practices will be held at either Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Avenue, or George S. Gerber Park, 4715 NW 30th Street
              • Practice days, times, and locations to be determined by coaches, will be communicated after teams are formed, and are subject to change based on weather and availability
            • Games for all divisions will be held at Sabal Pines Park
              • $110 for Coconut Creek residents; $160 for non-residents
                • The following items must be provided to qualify as a Coconut Creek resident:
                  • State-issued driver’s license or valid passport as parent identification
                  • One of the following as proof of residency - valid voter registration card, water bill, cable bill, or electric bill (bills to be no more than 2 months from date of submission)
                  • Volunteer coaches needed

                      • Registration open May 1st through June 30th or until full per division
                        • Space is limited to 20 participants per division

                        • You must have a WebTrac account prior to registering online
