Department News

Coconut Creek Fire Rescue Welcomes New Engine 50

On April 15, Coconut Creek Fire Rescue proudly hosted a traditional Push-In Ceremony at Fire Station 50 to celebrate the arrival of its newest apparatus—Engine 50. This cutting-edge fire engine is built for strength and reliability, featuring a 450-horsepower turbo charges engine. Engine 50 is well-equipped to meet the demands of emergency response. It holds 1,000 gallons of water—enough to fill a large backyard pool—and includes 2,250 feet of hose, long enough to stretch across more than seven football fields. We extend our sincere thanks to the City Commission and staff for their continued support in strengthening our fire rescue services. The previous Engine 50 will now join the department’s reserve fleet, ready to respond when called upon.
