George S. Gerber Memorial Park

This park was named after former City Commissioner George S. Gerber.  His wife Commissioner Marilyn Gerber, succeeded him after he passed away serving the community for 17 years before retiring in 2013. Gerber has athletic fields for permitting, basketball courts, jogging/walking paths, picnic amenities, playground, restrooms and a sand volleyball court.

Youth Flag Football League

  • 7 on 7 youth flag football league for ages 6 to 17 years old.
    • Jersey, shorts, and mouthpiece provided
    • 10 regular season games for all divisions
    • Plus playoff and championship (all division except U7 )
  • League Divisions: Current 2023-2024 grade will determine division or age as of September 1, 2024

  • $110 for Coconut Creek residents; $160 for non-residents
    • The following items must be provided to qualify as a Coconut Creek resident.
      • Stated-Issued driver’s license or valid passport as identification
      • One of the following as proof of residency – water bill, cable bill, electric bill (bills to be no more than two months old), or a valid voter registration card.
  • Volunteer coaches needed:

    • Application and background screening with fingerprinting required.
    • Maximum capacity of divisions may be affected by lack of volunteer coaches which could result in registration of affected divisions closing prematurely
  • Registration Details
    • Registration opens May 1st through June 30th or until full per division.
    • Online registration or walk-in registration accepted at either the Community Center, 1100 Lyons Rd. or Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd.
    • In order that a participant’s age and legal guardianship visually verified, a copy of their birth certificate may be required to be brought to either walk-in location.
