Sabal Playground

The largest of Coconut Creek's city-run parks, Sabal Pines Park boasts 9 athletic fields, surrounded by protected cypress wetlands. Developed with financial assistance from the 1998 Florida Legislature through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, this park opened on January 13, 2001. To further benefit the area's youth, 3 new athletic fields were constructed in 2012 and dedicated on February 6, 2013.

The Creek Outdoors

Participants of ages 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to engage in various activities at the Pine Pavilion in Sabal Pines Park, located at 5005 NW 39 Avenue. The event will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Participants of ages 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to engage in various activities at the Pine Pavilion in Sabal Pines Park, located at 5005 NW 39 Avenue. The event will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

During the event, participants will learn how to set up a tent, participate in a scavenger hunt, identify local trees and wildlife, and conclude the evening with the traditional roasting of s'mores.

The registration fee for Coconut Creek residents is $10, while non-residents will be charged $15. Please note that only credit card payments will be accepted; cash and checks will not be processed at this time.

Registration is currently open and will continue until all 15 participant spots are filled. To register, you can either visit www.CoconutCreek.net/Webtrac or register in person at the Community Center (1100 Lyons Road) or the Recreation Complex (4455 Sol Press Boulevard).
