Sergeant Barbara Hendrickx

Barbara became a police officer for the City of Coconut Creek Police Department in 2013. During her first five years as an officer, she was the Bike Patrol Officer representative on her team as well as a Field Training Officer. In March 2018, Barb was transferred into the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) as a Detective. Also, Barb has served as a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team since 2015 and proudly serves as one of the founding members and is an instructor for the Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange program. In August 2018, she was promoted to the Sergeant over the Community Services Unit (CSU).

Sergeant Hendrickx holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University and is a graduate of the Southern Police Institutes 88th Command Officer Development School.
